This mixed media piece was made with acrylic paint, acrylic gouache, water soluble crayons, and pencil crayons, on an 8×10 inch cold pressed watercolour board.
I found myself getting into a colour palette rut, so I challenged myself to create a piece in a palette completely outside my comfort zone. It took a lot of messing around, but I’m so happy with the result. This is by far my favourite abstract piece I’ve made. It’s hard to photograph, so I did my best to capture it in natural light to get the full effect of the colours.
