This painting features the Capilano river with a view of the salmon hatchery building off to the side. It was made using acrylic gouache and pencil crayons on water colour paper.

The piece itself is 5×7”, but the paper is 6×8”, leaving you the option to frame the painting with a mat or trim the paper to fit it flush with a 5×7 frame depending on your personal preference.

This dreamy pink abstract piece is painted with acrylics on a 12×24 slim (0.75”) canvas with a red trim accent.

The painting was supposed to be just the base layer of a piece more like my other abstracts but when I showed it to my roommates I was told UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should I change it or add any ‘stupid swearwords’ to it lol. They were right of course; while it wasn’t something I set out to make, I adore this piece.

You can chose to hang it vertically or horizontally depending on your preference or what works for your space.

“Focal Point”, along with its sister work “Cowboy Blues” was created in part by using the surrealist art process ‘automatism’, using unconscious thought and actions to express creativity, instead of planning and thinking about what is being put on the canvas.
